A Story of Resilience and Renewable Energy
Storytelling Through Illustration, Animation, and Design
Developed for Maximo Solar (now Maximo Energy), Nuestra Historia Energética is an original animated short film created to communicate the importance of renewable energy through a compelling visual narrative rooted in Puerto Rico’s history and resilience.
From concept development to final production, Candela Creative Group® led every creative aspect of the project, including scriptwriting, storyboarding, character development, original illustration, animation, sound design, and musical composition.
The film explores the challenges Puerto Rico has faced following decades of natural disasters and energy instability, while presenting a hopeful vision of a more resilient and sustainable future powered by renewable energy.
Designed as both an educational and emotional storytelling experience, the project demonstrates how illustration, animation, music, and narrative can work together to communicate complex ideas and inspire meaningful conversations.
