FL BAKERY® Camuy Grand Opening
Building a New Chapter in Puerto Rico
The opening of FL Bakery® Camuy marked an important milestone in the continued growth of one of Puerto Rico’s most recognized bakery brands.
Developed as both a retail destination and a production facility, the new 11,400-square-foot location represents the beginning of FL Bakery’s expansion strategy throughout Puerto Rico. The project combines a public-facing café experience with a modern manufacturing operation designed to support future locations across the island.
For Candela Creative Group®, the project extended far beyond the design of a single location. Our role focused on creating a scalable brand environment capable of supporting long-term growth while maintaining the character and familiarity that have defined FL Bakery’s success.
The Camuy location integrates branding, environmental graphics, signage systems, spatial design, illustration, and digital communication into a unified customer experience. Every touchpoint was developed to reinforce the brand’s identity while supporting operational efficiency and future expansion.
The project also represents a significant investment in the region, generating new employment opportunities and transforming an underutilized industrial property into an active commercial and manufacturing hub. The facility serves as a central production and distribution center for FL Bakery’s growing network throughout Puerto Rico.
Founded in Florida by Puerto Rican entrepreneur Rafael Román following Hurricane Maria, FL Bakery has grown from a single location into a multi-location operation serving communities across Florida and Puerto Rico. The opening of Camuy represents a return to the company’s roots and the beginning of a new phase of growth on the island.
As FL Bakery continues to expand, the Camuy facility establishes the foundation for a scalable brand system designed to support future locations while maintaining a consistent customer experience across every touchpoint.
